The UK will begin to trade with the EU in 2019, after a period of 12 years, the Government has announced.
The UK will also join the European Economic Area (EEA), which it joined in 1973.EU leaders will then be able to trade freely with each other for a further four years.
However, the UK will no longer be able enter the Single Market or the Customs Union until 2020, with the rest of the EU following suit later in the year.
The Government also announced a new EU-wide online shopping policy for goods and services, which will see the UK join the likes of Germany, France and the Netherlands.
